A chart rarely stays in one place. It may begin in code, pass through Figma, appear in a product, and be rendered again by an agent. At every handoff, styling is rebuilt and visual identity can drift.
Szum keeps the data, design rules, and theme in one shared definition. Opinionated defaults keep typography, color, axes, and spacing working together across code, Figma, the web, and agent workflows.
Founder
I’m a software engineer specializing in data visualization. I’ve led development of official Swiss public-data products, shared government charting libraries, and open-source visualization tools.
That work includes the Popular Votes Dashboard, a real-time application that has served up to 50,000 concurrent visitors and won the Swiss Viz Award 2024 and German Design Award Gold 2025.
Across those projects, the same problem kept returning – a good chart depended on design decisions scattered across code, design files, exports, and automation. I built Szum so those decisions could be made once and carried across every surface.
I develop and operate Szum independently. Product changes are documented in the public changelog, service availability is visible on the status page.
