Can I create a Figma chart before I have real data?
Yes. Charts by Szum generates random data for every chart type. You can choose the number of categories, series, points, or slices, regenerate instantly, and switch to your real CSV later.
Can I paste CSV data into the Figma plugin?
Yes. Paste CSV into the Your Data tab, map columns to chart roles, edit cells or add rows, and apply it to the current chart without rebuilding the design.
Does the Figma plugin check chart issues?
Yes. Review collects errors, recoverable warnings, and non-blocking suggestions from data, design controls, and Source. Errors block insertion of the invalid definition while the last valid preview remains visible. Deterministic fixes are explicit and undoable.
Are inserted charts editable in Figma?
Yes. Charts are inserted as named, semantic Figma layers with editable vectors and real typography. The frame also stores its chart definition and data so the plugin can reopen and update it later.
Which chart and graph types are included?
Charts by Szum includes column, horizontal bar, line, area, scatter, and pie charts, with donut, grouped, and stacked variants where they apply.
Is Charts by Szum a free Figma chart plugin?
